Wine-Tasting

We all went wine tasting at the local wineries near our house. Dan and I drove while the Raymond/LeBlanc clans enjoyed the local flavors. The twins went with us (our babysitter fell through) and were perfect. There were gardens at the wineries and even a playground at one so they had fun playing and exploring while the BIG kids had fun playing too! Keyways Winery is known for being rustic (it's surrounded by horse ranches) and is the only winery owned by a woman. Thornton Winery is known for it's restaurant and all it's varieties of champagne. South Coast Winery is one of the fanciest and best in Temecula, has a full spa and cottages, and hosts concerts. Wilson Creek Winery is known for it's almond champagne. These are some of my favorite pictures from the adventure followed by a slideshow with more pictures!

In Loving Memory

In memory of my beloved husky Simeron who passed away 4 years ago this month. He was my best friend. I still miss him.

Our Little Gymnasts!

Luci, Miss Lindsey, and the other class kids

Eli and Miss Katie on the tumble-trak
Peek-a-boo! Coming through!

We finally chose a gym to take the kids to. They love this class. Elijah does really well and actually follows direction pretty well. Luci still likes to do most of her own thing. She doesn't like rolling either. Eli will roll forwards and backwards. They both love the trampolines and the foam/ball pit and Luci does really well walking on the beam. The teachers are really nice too and the twins seem to like them.

Our First Easter Egg Hunt!

We had so much fun today! The twins went on their first Easter egg hunt! The city put on egg hunts in a few of the parks around town. They had age groups separated so we didn't have to worry about big kids running over them. It was torture waiting b/c we got there early as suggested and the twins were fighting to go in the roped off area. Elijah made it about 5 feet into the area and picked up a rubber duck and was done. Dan had to take it from him and show him an egg. He was like "oooohhh..." and picked it up. Then he sat down and only wanted his egg and his duck. So I took Luci more to the middle and she picked up a tiny bottle of bubbles. She didn't want anything else either. I showed her an egg and she picked it up too. The parents were supposedly not allowed to pick anything up for the kids but I watched parents snatching up everything they could get their hands on so I picked up 2 snack bags for the twins and we were done. It was over in 5 minutes! We stayed at the park and the kids walked around and played with some other kids that were hanging around. We were leaving and Luci saw a rock on the ground that she just had to pick up. A strange lady came up to us and was talking about how cute the twins were and Luci gave her the rock she just picked up. Then we saw Lisa and her daughter (Lisa will hopefully work out as our once-a-week day care provider until this fall when I'll take some classes and need more full time care). Dan got to meet her and he likes her. Then it was off to our first trial gymnastics class at our 2nd gym. Busy day!

Outside

The twins LOVE being outside. They usually scream when we bring them back inside. They've both also learned to pull their shirts up when you ask them "Where's your belly". Unfortunately, they also will pull our shirts up to look at our bellies too! Scary! Anyway, they really love walking around the yard and walking after the dogs. Bodhi and Diesel are usually very near keeping a close eye on them.

Mighty Midgets on the Loose!

Dan was out of town last week training some guys in 29 Palms. While he was gone Elijah decided it was time to walk without support. He went from nothing to practically running. He keeps up with Luci and has found out how much fun it is to be able to carry toys around. He's a maniac now! He also got a new Mega Blocks Firetruck which is now one of his favorite toys. He puts all kinds of stuff in it and pushes it around. He even makes raspberry noises when he's pushing it. We took them outside today to walk around the yard. Luci was off like a rocket. Eli was a little slower going around. He's the more cautious of the two. On the not-so-cute side, Luci has taken to hitting and biting. That's one that I wasn't ready for yet. Now just working on derailing her little mean streak!
