Our New Sandbox

Luci and Eli got a new sandbox a couple weeks ago. The weather has only been good enough to play with it once (the weather and they were sick for a week). But they really enjoy it.

An Invasion from Maine!!

Make sure you keep looking through the blog-there are 3 posts for this entire visit!! We just had a fun-filled week. Dan's mom, dad, and sister Nancy and Mr. and Mrs. LeBlanc came to visit from Maine. I must say again we had so much fun! The twins just loved everybody and couldn't get enough. They went from one person to another. And if one person said "no" they would go try someone else! Who knew they learned that at such an early age! The first day was spent resting. Then Saturday Nancy helped me with a yard sale over at a friend's house while Memere and Pepere helped Dan with the twins at gymnastics. Sunday Mom and Nancy went with me to pick up the kids' new playground. After 2 different locations in the yard we settled on the front patio. Monday we went to Hollywood, Tuesday we went wine-tasting, Wednesday we dropped the BIG kids off at the casino, Nancy babysat the twins, and Dan and I went out on a date! Thursday was spent resting up because the clan left on Friday! Whew! What a week! And we are so glad the LeBlanc's came too. They are so much fun to have around. They were honorary memere and pepere all week. We even got Luci to say "pepere" a couple times. Memere Raymond got to have complete spoiling rights over the twins. And on the last night, Pepere Raymond even took Elijah to bed (which I'm not sure who enjoyed it more!). Oh, and I was even surprised with an early birthday cake! The week was so much fun that Friday was a real bummer. And the twins are readjusting to not having so many people to play with. They took a couple 3 hour naps Friday and went to bed really early too. We all miss you guys but we'll be seeing you again in a couple months! Thanks for being the best in-laws ever!! I feel so lucky to have you. You helped out so much while you were here I went into shock today when I had to clean up! Can't wait to see you this summer!

Hollywood

We all went to Hollywood for the day. We walked along the Walk of Fame and looked at all the names. They were setting up for the premiere of Ironman 2 while we were there which was pretty cool. We went on a tour that gave us a history of Hollywood, points of interest, and a tour of stars' homes. We saw the Osbourne's, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Carrie Fisher, a Beatles former residence, the residence Michael Jackson was renting when he died, the Cruise home, Dr. Phil, and many more that I don't remember! At most of the homes we only saw the entrance gates. Leonardo DiCaprio had a home there too that we drove by but it was completely surrounded by trees so we couldn't see anything. It was a really fun but long day. The twins did well and had fun looking at everything. There were characters such as Batman, Elmo, Tinkerbell, and Spiderman in front of the Kodak Theater but I wouldn't let the twins near them. Up close they didn't look that clean! Elijah was so tired he fell asleep on Grandma's lap on the tour bus but it didn't last long with his sister in front of him yelling at him trying to play! They slept all the way home. I think the big kids riding in the truck with Dan may have fallen asleep too - he said it was quiet on the way home, haha!
On the tour bus!

Wine-Tasting

We all went wine tasting at the local wineries near our house. Dan and I drove while the Raymond/LeBlanc clans enjoyed the local flavors. The twins went with us (our babysitter fell through) and were perfect. There were gardens at the wineries and even a playground at one so they had fun playing and exploring while the BIG kids had fun playing too! Keyways Winery is known for being rustic (it's surrounded by horse ranches) and is the only winery owned by a woman. Thornton Winery is known for it's restaurant and all it's varieties of champagne. South Coast Winery is one of the fanciest and best in Temecula, has a full spa and cottages, and hosts concerts. Wilson Creek Winery is known for it's almond champagne. These are some of my favorite pictures from the adventure followed by a slideshow with more pictures!
