Oh the silliness!
Here are some of the cute moments we've caught on film the last month. We had to put plexiglass on our baby gates because Luci figured out how to climb up them. So Dan was putting on the plastic and Luci and Eli were helping him. They would touch the drill and hand him zip ties. It was pretty cute. Luci somehow cut her finger the other day (that's her in the blue jammies-she had to borrow from Eli one night!). She got her first bandaid (unfortunately mommy wasn't prepared with cute cartoon ones) and spent a lot of time holding out her hand looking at it, almost like she just got a new ring. She amazingly left it on and didn't try and take it off. We got them a playhut for inside and Eli likes to crawl in it. He thought it was pretty funny. He'll get inside it and push it around the house. And yes, that's him with a bucket on his head. We have a couple of those gallon ice cream buckets that we keep blocks in and they love to put them on their heads and talk (it echoes) and now they've actually started putting them on their heads and walking around. It's hilarious. They also like to have a burpie or their bears over their faces and walk. And Dan left Thursday for a week and he was packing all his gear. The kids decided to help him with that too! Dan put some of his gear on them which they just thought was the greatest thing ever. Those pictures are posted just below this one. So that's just a few of the latest antics that we've caught. They are so funny. They just got some new toys and I've already been snapping away. So keep checking, I'm sure there is more to come!

Saying Goodbye
The first week of February I went to Ridgecrest to say bye to Lance, Gail, Amber, and Zach and to spend a few days with them before they left. We had a nice time. Zach and Amber took the twins on the quads (which the twins loved) and we just spent some nice quality time together. The twins will miss them and so will we. Dan had to work so he couldn't come. We were all fine until we actually had to say goodbye. I'm glad they were in CA for awhile and we got to spend time with each other. Even so goodbyes still are no fun. Can't wait to see them this summer!

Visiting with more family!
We recently found out that my cousin Jeremy and his wife Lauren live here in CA too and is less than a couple hours away. He has a gorgeous little girl, Avery, who is 3 and boy/girl twins, Jack and Ainsley, that are 11 months. We were lucky enough to get to visit with them and his mom Janet, her husband John, and my great-Uncle Lossee and great-Aunt Esther. We met at a restaraunt and visited for a little while. I haven't seen Jeremy or Janet since I was a teenager and I haven't seen Uncle Lossee and Aunt Esther since I was pregnant with the twins. Everyone looks great. I wish we could have visited much longer!

Our Yard
We had a week long blast of rain a couple weeks ago. It caused the roads to our house to be nearly impassable. Massive amounts of dirt washed over the main road that comes through the wineries to the entrance to our neighborhood. And then, part of our yard caved in. We have a steep slope in front of our house and all the water tends to drain to one area. Before this rain there was already a deep trench where water had been draining. Bodhi and Diesel fell in it one time and I had to wait for Dan to get home to get them out. So with the help of Lance and Zach, Dan filled it all in with dirt and put in a new drain and pipe. Then with the rains it all washed away and got even worse. It started to creep towards the house and made us a little nervous. Dan borrowed a Bobcat from the neighbor and started filling in the crater. What he's done so far has held up with current rain. Hopefully it will stay until we can work on it some more! These pictures were taken after Dan started filling in.

We have visitors!
Mom, Grandma Clark, and Great-aunt Virginia were all here to visit us last week. They had a great time watching all the twins' antics. Luci clung to mom and Eli just loved everybody. Eli started being brave and walking without holding onto furniture the night before they all got here. He doesn't go far but he's so excited with himself. We did a little shopping while they were here. We went to Oceanside and walked on the pier and had lunch at a diner on the end. On Friday before they left we went to visit a friend of Grandma's and Aunt Virginia's near LA. Dana and her husband Red were very sweet. Red of course has red hair and Luci was just enamored with him. She was rolling around on the floor and showing off for him. Then we went to Hollywood and took a tour bus around. Eli was just floored by all the lights and sights. Luci was hanging out of the tour bus yelling at everyone down below. She became a sight herself. People in cars next to the bus were talking to her and people on the street were waving at her. She just ate it up. Everyone left Saturday a.m. for the airport but Mom and Grandma had to come back to the house at 6 a.m. b/c all flights into NC were cancelled due to snow! Oh well, we all got another day together. And the twins certainly enjoyed it!
